Kate Beckinsale

Kathrin Romany Beckinsale (born 26 July 1973)[1][2][3] is an English model and actress from England. After some minor television parts, her film debut was Much Ado About Nothing (1993) when she was studying at the University of Oxford. Alongside numerous stage and radio productions, she appeared in British costume dramas such as Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Emma (1996), and Shooting Fish (1997). In the late 1990s, Beckinsale began film work in America. After appearing in small-scale dramatics The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Brokedown Palace (1999), she appeared in war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the romantic comedy Serendipity (2001), and Tiptoes (2003). She followed those with starring roles in The Aviator (2004) and Click (2006). The films all have established her as a major character in Hollywood.Since she played the role of Selene in the Underworld film series (2003-2016), Beckinsale has been a household name for her work in action films, including Van Helsing (2004), Whiteout (2009), Contraband (2012) and Total Recall (2012). She is still appearing in less dramatic projects, such as Snow Angels (2007), Nothing but the Truth (2008) as well as Everybody's Fine (2009). She was praised for her performances in the first two films. She was nominated to receive the Critics Choice Film Award for the Best Actress In a Comedy for Love & Friendship in 2016. Jolt (1921) made her back to action film. She also appeared in two TV projects, The Widow (2019) and Guilty Party (2021).
