Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical series. Growing up with conservative Jews in Wayne, New York City was the place she went to pursue her studies in the theater at Tisch. The school quickly became a fixture in the scene of clubs in New York. Her performances were so good that even the local press took note. Eventually she used her training as well her fame to write and compose a musical called Positive Me and also starred in the film. Awake on the Wild Side was her next task. When it ended up going off the show, she started appearing in television and film productions at first in small roles before establishing herself as an actress.
